The Allan Rohan Crite Park Proposed Design Plans

The Friends of Crite Park, Advisory Council, and Neighbors collaborated to gather community input to produce the park design.  Based on a survey and community meetings, the design was created by Monique Hall, landscape architect for the BSC Group.

The community requested the following:

Lots of shade
SO
Eight new trees will be planted in place of six dead or dying trees.
AND
Three pergolas will be installed.

A space for events
SO
A large open space appears in the middle of the park with an area for presentations.

A place for respite
SO
Six alcoves with seating and areas for conversation tables provide an outdoor “living room” concept.

And, so very importantly,

A fitting memorial to honor Allan Rohan Crite
SO
In Mr. Crite’s honor, a long-neglected site is being revitalized and will include a display of Mr. Crite’s artwork.
