- Establish the Advisory Council to confer with Board.
- Plan Publicity Campaign.
- Establish web page (ellisndighborhood.org/critepark).
- Publicize Crite Park Project through neighborhood newspapers, condo associations, and neighborhood associations.
- Solicit community input through surveying and petitioning, face-to-face and online (ellisneighborhood.org; homepage, “Allan Crite Park Renovation”.
- Raise funds to support City requirements for Pre-construction.
- Initiate contractual discussions with landscape architects.
- Continue fundraising to make the land shovel-ready and eligible to complete for funding.
- Apply for nonprofit status; Establish Friends of Crite Park.
2020
January - June
- Coordinate with BSC Group landscape architects to conduct Existing Conditions Survey and complete Conceptual Design.
- Continue Fundraising.
- Conduct community meetings to review park design.
- Seek Landmarks approval.
- Continue fundraising; Pursue foundations, City grants (CPA, Henderson, Browne), and private donors.
- Pursue park design approval from City departments and Utilities companies.
- Initiate land transfer from Public Works to Parks and Recreation.
- Publicize Crite Park Project through neighborhood newspapers, South End Facebook page, condo associations, social groups, and businesses
